Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. This page explains, in plain language, what personal information I collect when you use this website or work with me, why I collect it, who I share it with, and the choices you have.

This website is operated by Usha Raman, trading as Nexus Training Group, based in Perth, Western Australia. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Throughout this page, "I", "me" and "my" refer to Usha Raman and Nexus Training Group.

What I collect

I only collect information you choose to give me, plus a small amount of technical data that any website receives when you visit.

• Contact form. Your name, email address, message, and your phone number if you choose to include it.
• Free Balance Audit and newsletter. Your first name and email address, so I can send you the audit, my newsletter and follow-up emails.
• Discovery call bookings. When you book through the calendar on this site, Calendly collects your name, email address and the details you enter, and shares them with me so I can hold your appointment.
• Event tickets. When you book an event or course through Humanitix, they collect your name, contact details and payment information and pass your booking details to me. I never see your full card details.
• Coaching clients. If we work together, I keep the information needed to support you, such as your contact details, our agreement, session notes and anything you choose to share with me.
• Website usage. Like most websites, this site records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. It also uses the Meta Pixel, described below.

How I use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
• To send you the Free Balance Audit and, if you've signed up, my newsletter with articles, resources and news about my coaching, courses and events. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• To schedule and deliver coaching sessions, courses, retreats and events.
• To keep records I'm required to keep for tax, legal and professional purposes.
• To understand how people use this website and to show relevant information about my services to people who have visited it.

I don't sell your personal information, and I won't add you to a mailing list unless you've asked to join it.

Who I share it with

I share personal information only with the service providers I need to run this website and my business. They may access your information only to provide their service to me.

• MailerLite stores my mailing list and sends the Free Balance Audit and my newsletter.
• Calendly manages discovery call bookings.
• Humanitix manages event and course ticketing.
• Google provides my business email and the fonts used on this website.
• Meta (Facebook and Instagram) provides the Meta Pixel described below.
• My web host stores and serves this website.

Some of these providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. I choose established providers with their own privacy protections, and by using this website you consent to your information being handled by them.

I may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where I believe it's necessary to protect someone's safety.

Cookies and the Meta Pixel

This website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta that places a cookie in your browser. It tells me, in aggregate, how people find and use this site, and lets me show information about my services to people on Facebook and Instagram who have visited it. Meta may also use this data in line with its own privacy policy.

You can limit this by adjusting the cookie and tracking settings in your browser, using a browser extension that blocks trackers, or changing your ad preferences within your Facebook or Instagram account. The website works fully without cookies.

Coaching confidentiality

What you share with me in coaching stays between us. I keep session notes securely and don't share them with anyone without your consent, except where I'm required by law or where I believe there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else's. Testimonials are only published with your explicit permission.

How long I keep information

I keep your information only for as long as I need it for the purposes above. Enquiries that don't lead to further contact are deleted within a reasonable time. Newsletter and mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Client records are kept for the period required by Australian tax and business record-keeping laws, currently seven years, and then securely deleted.

Keeping your information safe

This website is served over an encrypted connection. Information you send me is stored in password-protected accounts with reputable providers, and access is limited to me. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me at any time to:

• tell you what personal information I hold about you;
• correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
• delete your information, subject to any records I'm legally required to keep;
• remove you from my mailing list. The unsubscribe link in every email does this instantly.

To make a request, use the contact page. I'll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with how I've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Children

My services and this website are intended for adults. I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided me with their details, please contact me and I'll remove them.

Links to other websites

This site links to other websites, including booking and ticketing platforms and research sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and I'm not responsible for how they handle your information.

Changes to this policy

I may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and the current version always applies.
